Friday rolls around again, and with it Friday Fictioneers. Writers around the world receive a prompt pic from Rochelle:

Behold! I have written 100 words…

 

 

Every lunchtime he makes his way to the lake and sits on the same bench. He places his briefcase on his lap, snaps open the locks and reaches inside. The Hello Kitty lunchbox always makes his smile, reminds him of his daughter who chose it for him and insists he use it every day

Inside the box is a crayon drawing and the sandwiches his wife makes for him each morning. He eats slowly and looks at his watch, remembering the days when he could only spend thirty minutes. Today, he decides again, he will tell them about his redundancy.
