Friday Fictioneers 27th June 2014

Friday rolls around again, and with it Friday Fictioneers. Writers around the world receive a prompt pic from Rochelle:

The Priest prostrated himself before the High Seer for several moments, then rose to his knees. “Your Grace,” he said, his eyes respectfully lowered, “I interviewed the boy. He says he has been to the summit of The Tree. He knows what lies there.”

“Did he tell you?”

“I am not worthy of that knowledge.”
”And neither is he. Our forefathers made that offering for the Gods only to behold. How did he reach the summit?”

“He says he climbed.”
“If that is true,” the High Seer whispered, “he has inordinate ability. Perhaps he is the one the prophecy foretold.”
