which combined with the wind, rain, flood and storm surges of the past two weeks to provide me with these 100 words:

 

Luckily, they were on holiday during the Great Storm, when the ocean claimed the cliff and their home crashed to the sand below. ‘Better to come home to this,’ he shrugged, ‘than to wake up under it.’

The house had been more than a home, it had been their pension. After the holiday they had planned to sell, downsize, and retire in comfort. After the clean up, only the brick outhouse remained.

He trusted their estate agent to salvage a sale and smiled from his brother’s sofa as he read the ad.

“Beach Cabin. Perfect for the holidaymaker! Waterfront location!”
