Friday Fictioneers 6th December 2013

Every Friday, Rochelle provides a pic which the Friday Fictioneers use as a prompt for a 100-word flash fiction. Here is this week’s prompt:
trespass_randy_mazie-1

and the 100 words it inspired me are…

It was just an empty building now. The walls and windows still intact but it had become a hollow shell, no longer home to any life, any soul.

Two years had passed since the police had taken away hard drives and phones. And two hours since the guilty verdict was handed down.

This road was directly between the court and the jail. It was inevitable he would be driven this way, and not without irony. Through the vehicle’s darkened windows the disgraced preacher saw the two words on the church wall – “no trespassing.”

He should have heeded those words.
